Ambika Selvarajah (she/her) is UARR's Communications and Special Event's Coordinator. She is a young activist interested in community outreach and policy. Ambika is a recent graduate from McMaster University with a degree in Economics. She is also a 1L at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and Detroit Mercy School of Law, Canadian and American Dual JD. She is an activist in Tamil political spaces and has a background in anti-racism education. Through her work in the non-profit sector, Ambika has led and facilitated trainings on building solidarity within the Tamil community and facilitated training for Asian youth addressing anti-Asian racism. She has also published articles on topics related to Tamil advocacy and Tamil Genocide awareness and published resources on various anti-racism topics such as microaggressions, internalized racism, and more.
