Fundraising Program Assistant – Paid Internship
Job Title: Fundraising Program Assistant (Paid internship for youth between 18 to 29)
UARR is seeking a Fundraising Program Assistant for a 3-month paid internship from February to April 2022.
Responsibilities:
- Create written materials and prepare statements for engaging the public and sponsors in the organization’s initiatives
- Assist with outreach and gain support for various UARR programs
- Implement effective and creative communication strategies to promote UARR programs to engage the community
- Prepare funding and budget reports with goals and metrics for stakeholders
- Occasionally assist with some grant proposals for future projects
- Provide other miscellaneous support to leadership as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be a University/College student or recent graduate between the ages of 18-29
- Completed GED/High School Diploma
- Ability to carry out various tasks efficiently with attention to detail
- Ability to understand instructions and apply sound judgment while meeting tight deadlines
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) and Google Suite
- Ability to manage time and solve conflicts effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with budgeting and fundraising is an asset
Compensation: $18.00/hr for 15 hours per week
